Turnout is a wood and wire sculpture piece that uses an Arduino to control the motorized components, consisting of an ultrasonic sensor and DC motor.
By creating multiple mechanisms to completely conceal the wiring inside, I am able to signify the complexity that goes into making a spinning shoe with perfect turnout.
